About Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII was the first Final Fantasy game to go entirely 3D. It was also the first Final Fantasy to be released on Sony's Playstation game console. Another version was also released for the PC. It introduced a new magic/ability system based on gems called Materia that could be equipped onto weapons and armor. The chararacters that were introduced in this game and the dramatic storyline proved so popular that numerous spin-off games and animated versions of it have been made.
